**Framing** is just "how" you talk about something. It's an aspect of [[form]]. Many topics are complex. There are many aspects to them: which aspects you emphasize, discuss or highlight — and which aspects you leave *out* — creates a certain "frame." All of this has a [[rhetoric|rhetorical]] (i.e. persuasive) valence to it. Framing is related to using [[subtle signals and metalanguage#Subtle Signals|subtle signals]]. (It's arguably even *more* subtle than subtle signals, really.)
